I'm going to start posting useful things all artists should know because I really wish someone had done that way back when I was still messing around with MS Paint. The best part is I'm still learning, so when I fill you in on everything I already know, I'm going to keep updating you as I learn new things, too. My first helpful tip: always use color for everything. If you look closely at the above image of Bee, you'll notice there isn't a single trace of pure black or white on him. Not even in his lines or the shading. Why? Because it flattens the image, washes out the colors, and makes it look... cheap. Here's a chunk of my process in Phot
